With over 17 years of DJ'ing experience you could certainly say he knows his music. From back in the early days growing up listening to his parents collection of Northern Soul and Tamla Motown records, he was captivated by soulful vocal tracks that had a strong positive message. Soon after he discovered Disco and as a 10 year old boy in the mid 1980's you would find him at the weekend flea markets buying old disco records with his pocket money. As electronic music expanded in the 80'selectrofunk came onto the scene as the Street dance and Breakdance phenomena exploded, he was drawn to new electronic sounds I was hearing and the energy they produced. Influenced by pioneers such as Afrika Bambaata electronic dance music was paving the way for the House music revolution in the late 1980's. As his record collection grew he started to create mixtape's for himself and his friends, which went down so well he was able to sell them in the school playground. But it wasn't till he was 18 years old after his first independent holiday abroad to the balearic island of Ibiza in 93' that he was convinced to buy his first pair of Technic 1210's. Having watched the likes of David Morales, Graeme Park, Sven Vath, Carl Cox switch from record to record seamlessly playing to the huge crowds on the white isle. Practising and honing his skills within the confines of his bedroom, his passion for House music was increasing at an alarming rate. He was now getting the chance to play out at local parties, introducing many people to a new sound which allowed them to dance and express themselves. As word spread around I was asked to DJ at the most popular clubs at that time in his area. As his name was becoming more popular he was asked to DJ where for him it all started in Ibiza. Dj'ing at beach parties and after parties alongside some of his heroes. After a hectic period djing in the mid to late 90s...the local scene died down and other commitments in his life took over. It wasn't until late last year until he began listening to SSRadio which convinced him to get back on the decks. He says, "I sent some mixes to the guys over there and was given a slot for my brand new show Super Soul Fried Disco show. Having been away from the scene for quite a while I didn't expect to gain many listeners but was soon overwhelmed at the amount of interest the show has gained in such a short space of time." Personally this is down to the quality of the selections he makes for each show and his mixing ability which allows them to be enjoyed seamlessly. 8 months later the show has picked up listeners from all around the world and is well respected on the station. Having just played a set at the SSRadio 5th year anniversary party alongside Grant Nelson and Andy Ward at Bar Mango in Reading, he was able to show the public his ability to create a party atmosphere through his selections while making sure nobody was stood still on the dancefloor. The year is 2011 and he's got his groove back, with many people all over the world listening to his radio show and bookings coming in, there is plenty to get excited about. With SSRadio parties lined up for the near future, he's back on the scene and looking forward to making people dance once again.
